A pair of identical brasiers, which however are marked differently. Although they were both made in Rotterdam, one was made by the silversmith Rudolf Sondagh, and the other by Johannes La Blanc.

Both brasiers are in the Louis XVI style, decorated with garlands, medaillons, and scalloped edges. The objects were used when smoking a pipe – they were filled with coals and functioned as a lighter, ashtray, and stand.
