This earthenware candlestick, with a lead glaze, was crafted around 1600 in the Netherlands. It was modeled after a bronze original and shows a minor restoration on the stem, located between the foot and the nodus.

The artifact was discovered 3 meters beneath the surface at the site of the St. Lucia Monastery, situated at the intersection of Aert van Nesstraat and Hennekijnstraat in the city center of Rotterdam. Unfortunately, the monastery was demolished in 1972, and the Rotterdam Building now occupies the site.
