Set of two Dutch Delftware plates

This pair of plates was produced by the factory De Roos (the Rose). The plates are fully decorated with a landscape scene. Plates where the decoration extends to the edge are also known as open-air plates. The hilly landscapes feature figures and animals, with a small settlement depicted in the background.
